For a load that sticks out to the rear, the red light is meant to warn following traffic at about “car headlight level,” not high up where it might be overlooked or confused with other lights. That’s why the rule sets a maximum mounting height of 1.50 m above the roadway for the red light marking the rear overhang.

In your answer, 2.50 m is too high. It would reduce the warning effect for drivers behind you and is not the permitted maximum height.
